Background: I was born and raised in Nepal and came to the United States in 2001 to pursue higher education. I received my PhD in 2011 from the University of Iowa under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas S. Griffith. Following my PhD, I did my postdoctoral fellowship at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with Dr. Thirumala-Devi Kanneganti. I joined University of Iowa as an Assistant Professor in 2017.
